Nexo

Your phone and computer,
working together.

Copy on one device, paste on another. Send files in both directions. Nexo connects your Android phone to your Mac or iPhone directly over your own Wi-Fi — no account, no cloud, nothing to sign up for.

For Android, Mac and iPhone  ·  Apps are in preparation for Google Play, the Mac App Store and the App Store

All of it travels over your own Wi-Fi.

Everything you move between devices

Small, quick things and big things, without emailing yourself or opening a chat app.

Shared clipboard

Text, links and images you copy on your Mac appear on your phone, ready to paste. From your phone to your Mac too.

Send files both ways

Pick one file or many. The other device asks you to accept, shows progress, and checks every file arrived intact.

Picks up where it left off

Walked out of Wi-Fi range halfway through a big file? When you're back it continues instead of starting over.

Right from the Share menu

Share any photo, document or link to Nexo from Android, or from Finder and the iPhone Share sheet.

Pair once, reconnect by itself

Scan a code a single time. After that your devices find each other whenever they're on the same Wi-Fi.

Several devices

Use more than one phone with your Mac, or one phone with more than one computer. Remove any device with one tap.

Set up in under a minute

No account, no password, no cloud service in between.

Install Nexo

Get Nexo on your Android phone and on your Mac or iPhone. Keep both on the same Wi-Fi.

Scan the code

On your Mac or iPhone choose “Add Android Device”. Scan the code with your phone. That's the only setup.

Copy and send

Copy something, or share a file. It shows up on the other device. Your devices reconnect on their own next time.

What works on each device

We'd rather be upfront. Android and iOS both limit what an app can do in the background, so the experience differs a little.

Why “one tap” on Android: Android doesn't let apps read the clipboard in the background, to protect your privacy. Nexo works within that rule instead of working around it.

Private by design

Your clipboard and files can be sensitive. Nexo is built so they never leave your own devices.

  • No accounts and no servers. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing of yours stored with us.
  • Encrypted end to end. Everything between your devices travels over a modern encrypted (TLS 1.3) connection.
  • Only devices you paired. Another device on the same Wi-Fi can't connect, even if it tries.
  • No tracking. No analytics, no ads, no data collection.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Does it work over the internet or mobile data?

No. Nexo works over your local Wi-Fi network, with both devices on the same network. That's what keeps it private and fast, and it means your files never travel through the internet.

Is it really free? Do I need an account?

There is no account and nothing to sign up for. Pricing for the apps will be shown in each store before you install.

Why doesn't my iPhone sync in the background?

iOS stops apps from running in the background to save battery, so Nexo on iPhone works while the app is open on screen. Keep it open and your devices stay connected.

Can I use Nexo with an iPhone and a Mac at the same time?

Yes. Each is paired to your Android phone separately. A copy on one reaches the other devices that are connected.

My devices can't find each other.

Make sure both are on the same Wi-Fi and that Nexo is open on the Mac or iPhone. Some routers block devices from seeing each other; Nexo also tries a fallback search. If it still fails, remove the device in the app and pair again with a fresh code.

Is it related to AirDrop or Quick Share?

No, it's independent. Recent Pixel and Galaxy phones can already send files to an iPhone or Mac using Quick Share and AirDrop. Nexo adds a shared clipboard and devices that reconnect automatically, and it works with any Android phone.

What data do you collect?

None. See the privacy policy for exactly what the apps store on your own devices.
